A former tv, radio and digital journalist, since launching Connect Media Training in 2016 in Brisbane, Rebecca has facilitated group training sessions preparing clients for media interviews through to intensive one-on-one coaching sessions for spokespeople involved in crisis management.
She's worked with corporate management consultancy firms, public relations agencies, small businesses and not-for-profit groups across a range of industries, including healthcare, education, financial services, travel and beauty.
Her role as an accredited media trainer is supported by 18 years working as a broadcast and digital journalist, producer and presenter, starting in Brisbane with the ABC. Moving to the UK in 2004, she worked for BBC World Television News and Sky News. Back home, Rebecca worked for SBS World News in Sydney, before moving into a senior journalist position in the ABC’s Business and Finance bureau in 2007, in time to cover the events leading up to and through the Global Financial Crisis.
The desire to help people thrive in interviews and achieve maximum exposure for their business, organisation or cause, is what prompted Rebecca to start Connect Media Training.
